Integrated Services for Digital Network (ISDN)
ISDN is a set of communication standards for simultaneous digital transmission of voice, video, data, and other network services over the traditional circuits of the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
Benefits of ISDN2 and ISDN30
Perform multiple tasks simultaneously
With ISDN2 you'll have two lines/channels to use separately or simultaneously, so you can do two things at once.
A single high-quality ISDN30/30e connection has between eight and thirty 64k channels. In normal operation you use these separately, which means you can perform different tasks simultaneously.
Continuity options
For ISDN 30, there's a choice of options to cover your lines should they ever be disrupted. We can re-route circuits and calls to various locations, meaning your business isn't affected.
Unlimited DDI numbers for easy contact
You can have an unlimited number of DDI numbers, allowing frequent callers to get straight through to the person they wish to contact, without passing through a switchboard.
Fast data transfer
Using Fast File Transfer you can send files directly over the ISDN network to another computer with ISDN access and compatible file-transfer software.
Useful for large documents, graphics or video files. It is often quicker and cheaper than using a courier.
Get separate phone numbers for each device
If you wish, you can have separate phone numbers for telephones or other devices connected to your circuit.
If you use a switch/PBX, you can have an unlimited amount of Direct Dial-In (DDI) numbers.
Add more connections to suit your business
You can add further connections to your installation, increasing the number of simultaneous calls and/or available data bandwidth.
